Rationale for Committee

Need for an effective central committee to identify and address issues specific to the custodian community in matching institutional trades

Mandate/Objectives

Increase awareness and communication among custodians to articulate challenges, promote initiatives and facilitate implementation solutions designed to achieve the trade-date matching transitional targets set out in National Instrument 24-101 (NI 24-101) – Institutional Trade Matching and Settlement


Tasks/Deliverables

  • Identify impediments and solutions to the custodian community achieving the trade-date matching transitional targets set out in NI 24-101
  • Promote adoption of industry best practices internally and to clients
  • Advise on trade-date matching measurement/acknowledgement and reporting

Members

Senior representatives of the custodian firms. CCMA committees are composed of volunteer representatives from a range of key stakeholder groups within the securities industry.
